HELL:ON – "Strong Enough" (CD, Album)
The 2006 debut from Hell:on, one of the flagship bands of the Ukrainian thrash/death metal scene, formed in 2005 in Zaporizhzhia by Oleksiy "Hellion" Pasko and Oleh Talanov. Originally released on Moon Records, the album was later reissued in 2011 by Nocturnus Records with new artwork by Nurgeslag and, as a bonus, the entire "Beyond the Fake" EP, never before released on CD.
Lineup at the time: Aleksandr Baev (vocals), Oleksiy "Hellion" Pasko (guitar), Anton "Tony Alien" Vorozhtsov (guitar), Aleksandr "Nemets aka Slayer" Sitalo (bass), Oleh Talanov (drums).
Sound: technical, aggressive Thrash Metal, with elaborate guitar solos, gritty vocals and song structures already leaning toward progressive territory — the trademark Hell:on would go on to refine across later albums, eventually collaborating with names like Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura).
