Ukrainian trio Tria Prima (Zhytomyr) deliver their debut full-length, released on November 18, 2025 via Nocturnus Records, following up on 2025's Three Primes of Alchemy EP. Founded in 2024, the band brings together members and ex-members of Drudkh, Lucifugum, Blood Of Kingu, Lutomysl, Bestial Invasion, Cosmic Jaguar and Violent Omen — a genuine underground supergroup.

Sound: Alchemical Death Metal with elements of Doom and Dungeon Synth, built around a concept rooted entirely in alchemy — song titles like "Mortificatio," "Actum Exitium," and "Magnum Opus" each correspond to a different stage of alchemical transformation. Expect dungeon synth motifs cutting through the wall of sound, giving the music a cinematic scope, alongside melodic solos, jagged riffs and deep bass work. Ruslan's growls interplay with guest singer Anira Star's ethereal vocals for a striking dynamic contrast.

Guest appearance: the album features Trevor Nadir, vocalist of Italian death metal act Sadist, on one track

Production: recorded at Morrison Studio in Zhytomyr and mastered in Zaporizhzhia, handled by Serhii D.D. Bondar, keeping an underground rawness while staying clear enough for the album's layered arrangements.

Reception: international press has been enthusiastic — one reviewer called it the most underrated metal album of the year, highlighting opener "Arx Fatalis" as perfect for fans of early Dimmu Borgir or prog-era Death.

  2. Mortificatio
  3. Actum Exitium
